I saw the mortgage advisor today.....man do I need to raise some cash! Obviously there is money tied up in the hifi, and the amp would probably free up the most moula.

I had recently been considering some Sonus Fabers, but after learning of all the money required to get on the property ladder, new speakers is not going to happen. I'll keep the Contours and possibly get a small power house amp a la AVI or Quad.

Its sale is not definate yet, but it would be handy to know of any interest in the even I need a quick sale; I'd prefer to have money in a high interest account for a while before I put any deposits down. However if someone offers me the right money the sale will happen.

It would be a reluctant sale, I've only had the Krell since, what....October? November?
There is nothing to say about the amp that you don't know already. There is a teensy mark on the top of it that I will take a photo of. Otherwise it is boxed, with manual and original credit-card style remote that cutely glows in the dark.

Original UK spec supplied from Kevin Galloway Audio in Kilmarnock. Umpteen pictures available - just ask.

400Xis tend to go for around £1400 or so, with a premium for the much more rare black ones.

Yeah it went for 930 from a seller with no feedback and only newly registered - I'm sure that will put people off given the recent phishing and fraudulent auctions on the go. Not really indicative of their value.

Uncle Puncle, the amp is advertised at 1700 on hififorsale - do you ask becuase you are interested?

Can anyone say how this would be with a pair of Monitor Audio GR60s?

Or Krell with MA in general?
