Krell KCT preamp

    Hi. If any of you have owned or own a KCT can you tell me if it is normal for it to be very hot to touch when it's in standby mode. Thanks. Jim.

    Yes Jram .. I had a Krell preamp some years ago and it ran hot in stand-by
    Also my Pass Labs X1 is more than warm in the right front corner

    seeing as the KCT is full class "A" then this is quite normal, although if its a 230v model, and youre running it in the UK it will run a little hotter than normal
