Vintage original Krell KSA50 - some say this is the best sounding Krell ever.

    £700.

Excellent condition for age and works A1.

Will drive pretty much anything. :smoking:

Recent service (with receipt) - very clean inside.

Fan cooled so it doesn't weigh a ton! :)

Buyer collects (Gloucestershire GL17) or we may be able to meet up.

    How old?
How many outputs at rear for speakers, ie, can you biwire speakers from this?
    Ta.

I believe it is 27 years young :).

Single wire terminals at the rear, so you'd need 'proper' bi-wire - i.e. 2 runs connected to one connector plug.

Happy to demo if you come to collect - I won't be offended if you then don't buy (but I will be very surprised! - it's a very fine amp, indeed).

    How to describe the sound?!

Clear and lucid without being etched - almost a valve-like sound in its musicality - but unlike valves, it can probably drive most speakers on the planet. These Krells simply double in power each time you halve the speaker impedance - down to 1 Ohm!

I have used this amp on a pair of mini-monitors, among other speakers - the bass the Krell managed to extract from them had me literally laughing out loud. At first I thought I had mistakenly left my subwoofer on - I checked, and I hadn't.

I recall a review from the time (yes, I am that old!) which measured the output at 90 wpc into 8 ohms.

was just thinking about its suitability for my focal electras which love amps with a liquid smooth sound, but with a bit of guts behind them.

Well, to me that sounds a perfect description of the Krell ... except it has a lot of guts!

You are welcome to come 'round with your Focals for a dem. :)
Or I could bring the Krell to you - depending where you are of course!!
