KT77 Advice

I'm thinking about doing some tube rolling , I'm led to belive
KT77's are drop in replacements for EL34's ( is that right ? )

Has anyone tried these tubes and what do they sound
like compared to EL34's .

If it helps the amp is a Icon stereo 40 .
