    Greetings!
In hifi Worlds review of the Kuzma StabiS / StogiS combo, Adam Smith writes: "..it would seem that to get the best from this deck, an MC is an essential investment."

Im considering purchasing the Kuzmas, but doeesnt want to buy an MC. Does anyone use it with an MM PU with good results?
    If so which one?

    Thanks, Lars

    Hi,

How about one of the Ortofon range. One of the 2M range.

    Some info here.

How about a high output Moving Coil such as one of the Denons. The Denon DL-110.

I prefer moving Coil cartridge. If you can have one then look at this option.

    Hi all
Thanks for your replyies. I'd prefer a MM cartridge because my RIAA is for MM or High output MC only.
Another benefit with MM is that you can remove the stylus, which is useful when small kids are around

I would encourage you to choose a high output MC - I've certainly not been impressed by the quality of any MM with a removable stylus (and I have heard many).

To be honest, I would use a low output MC and a step-up transformer.

I would also take the opinions stated in Hi-Fi World with a generous 'pinch of salt'.

Note: The RIAA is the same for MM or MC - it is only the gain that changes.
