Having had my speakers run in a little (MA S2s) I find they are lacking weight in the bass area, there is definitely bass there, it just doesn't seem to go very deep, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of control over it. I was using a rotel pre/power with it, but found in my room that the treble was far too splashy and forward, i like that kind of sound, but this was too much :/ I have switched over to using my denon PMA-355uk, which was relegated to my housemates system, and this has solved that problem. I think the weak point on the system now is the amplifier, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to models I can try/audition to see if that makes a difference, I am trying to limit the amount I am going to spend to be honest, second hand recommendations are welcome :D
