    Hiya,

Not looking forward to next week as the nice carpet goes and laminate appears, however the nice speakers get to stay :D

I gather from reading, that the sound I'm used to, goes right out the window :0

We intend to get a nice big thick rug:) I gather this may help restore some sound.

    Book cases in the corners...?

Large blocks of granite/concrete under the speakers.....
Or 10pence pieces uner the spikes smidge of bluetak..

    Any tips/pointers much appreciated.

    Cheers

Wait until you hear it then tell us what you want to improve.

Maybe you would consider some dedicated acoustic panels? Have a look at my website for an example. You might also consider a digital room correction unit - it can't fix everything but it can help!

Good call Mr Tenson. I would however put something under the spikes so you don"t damage the floor

    Tenson is spot on .....

wait and see......the sound in my listening room improved ...but I did get special accoustic underlay for the laminate...

don't be stingy with the glue ....as ten years down the line some of our joints have worked loose and its a the devils own job to re glue.

    Cool :D
I'll wait and see, and re call assistance if needed, Cheers!

Not thought of it before, but I never like seeing laminate thats been down for a while, and the joints show easily as they collect dirt, gluing sounds possibly a messy long job but would sort the joints :)

I thought I would glue the kitchen ones to stop water ingress, but yes, glue the lounge ones too, stop the dirt collecting in the joints:)
