A client has a laptop and the CPU fan has failed, I am not insured or have any intention of fixing this myself, but I said I would arrange for it to be fixed.

Does anybody any decent laptop repair companies?

I repair laptops for a living, what sort of laptop is it? It might be possible for you to effect the repair yourself as you could source the part from the internet and on alot of laptops the cpu heatsink fan is easily accessable. If as you say you do not wish to repair it yourself I have a friend and work colleague who does private work and is someone who takes pride in his work. If you would wish to consider him send me a PM. The only thing is we are in Dorest. Hope this helps, I could not recommend the company I work for as some of the people I work with are rather slap dash!

If it was my own laptop I would do it myself but I don't have much experience with laptops and I am not prepaired to risk the reputation of my company over it, I am quite busy and am not in any real need to do jobs like this.

Things like memory upgrades, hard drive changes etc I will happily do, but I don't like prising the casing off.

Its a Toshiba Tecra A2 which uses a Centrino chip I think.

Hello Amazingtrade I have just spoken to my friend and he would not really be interested in repairing the laptop as he prefers to work locally and thinks the cost of couriers/insurance would come to more than the repair itself. Im sorry that he cannot help. It is a simple enough job so hopefully you can find someone in Manchester to do it, if you look on www.laptopfans.co.uk you should be able to get a price for the part and then a rough idea for how much you should be paying. Sorry I could not be of more help. Ben.
