For me, it would be, newest last:

The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack (limited to 1000 copies on vinyl - imported from US) - $19.99 + shipping/import

The Crown - Crowned in Terror (finally got reduced to a reasonable amount so i snapped it up) - £9.99

    Stanley Clarke - Modern Man - £3.50

    Vader - Live in Japan - £6.50

Katie Melua - Call off the Search - £9.77 (god bless tesco)

Quite a mix there, although the metal wins hands down for most listenable.

5 albums for £21 is quite a steal.

I wish i could get music that cheap - only 2 shops selling music here, 1 being hmv, who can only order the stuff i want on import so they say, £20 an album :( The other shop is good, but again, charges over the odds for not very well heard of titles.

Only 5? A trip to MVE and Rough Trade in Notting Hill today yielded the following:

    On secondhand vinyl -

    - Galaxie 500, Today
    - Nina Simone, Music for the Millions (decent cheapo compilation)
    - Minotaur Shock, Chiff Chaff and Willow Warblers
    - Skeleton Crew, The Country of Blinds (Tom Cora, Fred Frith, and Zeena Parkins)
    - Pentangle, Cruel Sister
    - Richard and Linda Thompson, First Light
    - David Vorhaus, White Noise 2 (a completely preposterous electronic album from 1975, ace)

    On new vinyl -

    - Hans Joachim Irmler, Life Like (Faust mainman solo album)
    - The Bug, Pressure (Kevin Martin, known to a friend of mine who knew him as a teenager as "Fat Kev", now a revered avant musician, apparently)
    - John Fahey, Hard Time Empty Bottle Blues 1-4
    - Al Green, I Can't Stop
    - Four Tet, Rounds
    - The Clientele, The Violet Hour
    - Maher Shalal Hash Baz, Blues de Jour (nuts, Japanese, great)
    - Willis, Come Get Some

    On CD -

    - American Analog Set, The Fun of Watching Fireworks

Irritatingly, I won't get a chance to listen to any of them until xmas eve...

Since 1st Dec I've had a minor splurge and bought:

    On CD:
Nickleback - The Long Road (new £12 - Fopp Dundee)
Hootie & the Blowfish- Fairweather Johnson (s/h £4.99 Grouchos Dundee)

On Brand new Vinyl (Fopp Glasgow):

Fun Lovin Criminals- Loco (new £5.00)
The Darkness- Permission to land (new £10)
Richard ashcroft - Human Conditions ( new £5)
Inspiral Carpets- The singles (new £5)
Iron Maiden - Edward the great -Pic disc (new £7) if i'd known it was a pic disc i wouldn't have bought it
    Gorillaz- Gorallaz (new £7)

On s/h Vinyl - cover graded first:
    (fron a record fair):
Joni Mitchel- Night Ride Home (Ex+/mint £1.50)
    Joni Mitchell - Chalk Mark... (Ex+/mint £1.50)
    Queen - Queen (Ex+/Mint £10)
    Queen- Queen II (Ex++/Mint £8)
    Queen- A night at opera ( VG++/Mint £6)
    Queen- The Miracle (Mint/Mint £8)
    Queen- The works (mint/mint £5)
Queen- A kind of magic (Mint/Mint £6)(I use this as one of my demo's now ! it sounds so good)
Chris Rea- Road to hell (Mint/mint £1.50)
Bruce Springsteen- Born in the USA (Ex/Mint £1.50)

    Privately from a PFM member:
    Oasis - Be Here Now (£20 Mint/Mint - looks new !)

I'm still desperately on the look out for :

Oasis- The Masterplan on 12" double gatefold ( must be minimum of Ex+/Mint ) any label will do, eg; Creation, Big Brother, helterskelter (Sony). I'd consider the 7 x 10" box set, but too much hassle changing sides & scope for trashing my needle on the felt mat, it also sells needlessly for joke money these days. I buy records to play, not look at and hoard.

I had no Queen in my collection apart from an Old greatest hits Hi-Fi VHS Video so did something about it , glad i did, its been on constantly . Fun lovin crims have been getting a good spanking too, excellent sound quality and varied material spread over two fat heavy records, a fiver well spent !

Ah, but I'd been trying to get hold of "The Sound Of The Suburbs" for ages without avail, so it ended up as being the only one of two albums I actually had on CD-R because I couldn't track down originals of. Thanks to Dom who spotted it on re-release and at sale price too at HMV that was one CD-R which I now longer need. The other CD-R was "Martin" which I now have on vinyl too. :)

Great minds shop alike - I bought the same plus Holly Golightly's album when I went to FOPP Covent Garden at the end of last month.

I can't actaully remember exactly WHAT my last five of either format are, but 3 of the CDs are:
Silver Apples - Silver Apples/Contact (1968 VERY far out electronica - odd on first listen, but one hell of a grower)
Sing Sing Death House - The Distillers
Black cherry - Goldfrapp (this is assuming 101cd EVER get off their arses and deliver the bloody things!

    Vinyl:
Cranked up really high (7inch) - Slaughter and the dogs
(can't remember!) - Doctor and the crippens
Their last live gig - Electro Hippies
    Peel Sessions - Electro Hippies
Girls girls girls - Motley Crew (he he he!)
