    What's going on with firefox,the latest version is dire,it's useless,half the stuff doean't work,crashes,etc.

    I've used if for years,never crased,very few problems,but the latset 5.1? is a total nightmare,crashes all the time when using my Yahoo mail account,freezes,doesn't render pages properly,won't load many pages,anyone else finding the same,it used to be good,but I'm about to give up on it,any other better browser to use?

    1.5

    I've been using it for a few days and not had a single problem with it.

    It looks like others have highlighted a 1.5.0.1 update problem, is this what has happened to you?

    PS my Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5 works very well - all my extensions worked after the change!

    I don't think so,I'm just using the standard 5.1,never had probs before,not sure why I'm getting them with newer version.

    I seem to have exactly the same setup as auric :D

    Firefox = overrated by far

    I've recently uninstalled it... again

    I dont buy all the hype... i've seen it with my own eyes, fails to render a lot of pages properly and is quite slow, at times.

    Each to their own. I prefer Maxthon.

    I think firefox is very overrated. I have never managed to use it for more than a few days.

    The only good thing on it is that ad blocker, but thats available for Safari and Camino now.

    A really annoying thing is when you uninstall it from windows systems, it kills your HTM icons and replaces them with the default icons. It has done this EVERY single time I've uninstalled it. Not good :mad:
