"The rack" shot, I was with my brother the other week in a hifi shop and he saw a tower of cool looking black components with LEDs and said, "Darth Vader would have a fridge like that". Out of context its a very lateral, so sorry if I sounded insane. I shouldn't go on the forum in work time. Its a very nice set up indeed. Often thought I'd like to try Cyrus one day, but its one of those modular things where I think I'd be running out of cash!. My own hifi is bits and pieces I've picked up over the years, so never quite sure if it sounds right... Thats my excuse for keep swapping things round! I've downsized recently and have to say its been interesting hearing new kit.

    Ah, now I see!
It confused me, certainly, but I can see your point now.
I have had Cyrus for many years, Cyrus One, then Cyrus 3, then preX and powers, finally preX and monoX. But recently heard some Audionet and picked up the cdp and the pre at good prices. It can get expensive with the Cyrus modular approach, but you can do it in easy stages.

You can also get carried away and end up with sixteen boxes when perhaps two would suffice.

I have a Cyrus CDp and PSX-R and can't see any reason to change for now.
