Out of idle curiosity, I opened up my Marantz SR7400 AV amp. The capacitors in the power supply section appear to be leaking some brown ooze.

Any recommendation on replacing these caps preferably to improve sound quality

    2x (Samyoung) 18,000uF 71 volts
    1 x 10,000uF 16v
    1 x 6,800uF 16v
    1 x 2,300uF 35v
    1 x 2,200uF 35v

It has been 20 years since I last touched a soldering iron so any suggestions would be great or is there any gurus in Cumbria who could do the work

Hahaha... No, your caps are not leaking. It is glue that stops the caps wobbling about while in transport. If the amp works properly, don't mess with it.

Yes I agree..... but if the amps 10 -15 years old the caps may have started to dried out.

Pannasonic FC would provide a useful upgrade ....though you would need to build a bank of smaller caps for the bigger values, but this is no bad thing.
