Heard this mentioned on the radio! Sounded like it was only for a one off show, though?

Anyone know who'll be taking Bonham's seat at the drum kit?

One UK gig only as a tribute to the late boss of Atlantic. Jason Bonham on drums £125 ticket or several £k on ebay or other black market sources!

At the risk of sounding cynical, may I predict: A 'Live' album to follow. Even Jimmy Page must be feeling slightly embarrassed by the constant repackaging of the same back-catalogue. A new performance will be too much temptation for him to bear. Just saying.

I must admit, I have rather mixed feelings about this. To me it seems like they are just another band jumping on the bandwagen. What if they don't perform as well as expected? Would it tarnish the Led Zep magic? Personally I'd have preferred to cherish the memories/music.

Um Jason. I doubt this will be the last gig. By my reckoning, November 2008 should see them at Yokohama International Stadium for the finale of the Japan leg of the Final World Tour 2008/2009.

Dev has a minty vinyl copy IIRC. Always a real highlight of any vinyl fest or bake off.

Crap, there goes my street cred (what little I had):(.

Coincidentally I was listening to Led Zep in the ofice yesterday and our IT Director's PA asked me to turn down the volume because it's the sort of music her dad listens to. I told her it was refreshing to know that at least her dad has good taste and duly turned it down:(.

You may have heard this album, but if not it's well worth a listen; Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes: Live at the Greek

It's better than you might expect ;). Anyone else got it/heard it?

As for the one-off concert, it's one for the ebay re-sellers as has been mentioned, and given how much they're likely to go for, I can't say I blame them, in fact I might put my name in the hat for a pair myself to fund my next hifi purchase!

I only have it on my iPod I'm afraid. I agree it is very good. I should buy the CD soon, if only to kill the guilt:D.

Well back in 1979 I had a ticket for the Knebworth gig but double booked with an holiday so sold the ticket thinking they would be back the year after, oh dear how wrong was I.
Apparently they have practiced together for a week to see if thay can play together after all this time so getting a green light from that session they decided to do this concert.
I see from the O2 arena that there is a blocks of reserved seats that have been sold for about £462 quid (gulp) and if you look at the ticket agencies there charging 850 quid to 1350 quid. Disgraceful.

Seeing as they should all need zimmers, let's hope they've got this guy on stage. He's very exciting.

    Hi,

would be interesting to see how they perform after all these years. There has been big interest in the tickets. Loads of people have put their names down for the ballot.
