If I were you I'd get your turntable seen to, it looks a bit off centre to me :)

:) Actually I cheated and doctored a scan of the old Vertigo label I found on the net. IT was inspired by the Black Sabbath/Vertigo special in this month's Record Collector.

The avatars just a miniature of a much bigger animation I did which is now bouncing round me screen as a screen saver. I'd post a link to the big one up, but its about 900kb and none of my freebie picture server services will take it (if anyone knows of a legit, freebie web space that will let me know :) ).

Uncle Ants - totally off topic, but I can think of loads of places to live that are worse than Nottingham. The entire SE of England springs to mind :D

I know it was just some silly season thing they did where on some strange set of criteria they reckoned Nottingham the second worst place to live in the UK ... after Hull. Jeeze, they've clearly never been to Basingstoke.

What did for Nottingham is that there are a couple of parts of the town near the city centre that'd give Beirut in its heyday a run for its money. And so its crime central so far as this daft survey is concerned. Frankly though its 90% drug dealers shooting other drug dealers - not necessarily a bad thing in my book.

I only live about 15 miles from Nottingham, so visit it quite often. The only times that I have been shot at, they missed - but then the traffic wardens are a bit keen when enforcing the double yellows :D

Nottingham has a lively city centre with plenty to do. Some of the suburbs are very pleasant to live in without high crime.

If the poll was to be believed, the best two places to live in were Epsom and Westminster. Like much of the SE, they are overpriced and overcrowded (imho).

My copy of Simply Vinyl's "Love over gold" by dIRE sTRAITS (stop sniggering at the back!) has this Vertigo logo - very VERY trippy to see it spinning - but not as trippy as that oval Yes 7-12incher I own - on blue vinyl!
