Hi Gainers,l posted a little while back regarding Laminate flooring and the general consensus was a big no no,due to relections etc however saw some Lino that looked a lt like Timber but had a bit of give in it and also had a Matt appearance- so does anyone on the Forum use Lino flooring where thier HiFi resides? Abig thank you to all who replied to my last post regarding Laminate flooring it was a big lesson learned, have a good listening weekend.

Laminate wood floors can be good if the ceiling is of non reflective material.
Too many reflective surfaces will cause havoc with time delays, echos and so on.
Now a reflective room can be your friend if you are able to control the first and second reflection points of the speakers to the room.
All you need is a buddy, mirror and flashlight. Place the flashlight atop your speaker while your buddy is holding the mirror against the wall [ side of speaker ]. Aim the flashlight at the mirror and try to get the light to aim at your listening position. The spot where the mirror is is the first reflection point. repeat with other speaker. Then repeat process with opposite wall of speaker.
Treat those areas [ reflection points ] with and absorbtive material. Repeat process with floor and clg. Time consuming but well worth the effort. Have fun.
