OK, here are the four finalists. I've removed the animation from those that had it because the filesize of the animated gifs was simply way too big to be useful. Also, whichever logo is chosen will be sized as appropriate.

The first three are contributions by BL21DE3 and the fourth one is by Joel. I can't put the images themselves into the poll so I've given them names:

    LCD:

    Spectrum:

    Minimalist:

    Groovyhandle:

Lastly, I reserve the right to override the results of the poll if I don't like the outcome :D :JOEL: Also, I reckon the poll has to have at least 100 votes to be valid.

I've moved the thread to the HiFi section so that it gets more visibility, and also made it sticky :)

Of course, but you can't vote for your own design :D

BTW, if LCD doesn't win, I'll protest and demand a recount :D

As long as it's not minimalist, I'm happy. That one gives me a headache...

    I like Spectrum,I feel it has a 70's groove and funk feel to the design,the 3rd ones a nightmare,sorry.

Ah but the Minimalist design conveys the simple colours of the original logo while invoking a sense of the often fragmented and confusing nature of the forum as a place of debate and discussion .

They're all quite cool, but I honestly prefer the existing, basic look. The new options are just too flashy. :)

If we can't just keep the current one, I suppose I'd vote for the spectrum one.

The first one is best simply because it is less crappy than the rest.

    Where was this competion before?

I think there needs to be an extention as others may wish to participate who din't realise it was happening!

I think the contributions need to be genuine attempts and not photoshop/illustrator styles.

Gary, it has been going on for months. You have missed the boat I am afraid.

Regarding your comments about the entries, you really do have a way with words dont you. I hope you are a nicer person in the flesh than you online persona suggests!

I'm with you on that one and, as BL21DE3 mentioned already, it maintains the same design ethic. Was there a condition based on the use of specific colours ;) ?

hey Mike, you should amend the poll and give us a "no change" option. Logo-wise, I'm a right-wing conservative, too.
