I'm not keen on it, but as said, it is only a logo.

Do blind people use brail keyboards:confused:

Oh I don't know. Personally I think the style suits the look of the forum better than the other one. But I'm with you on the colours.

    Michael,

May I suggest you change the black and white lettering to the two shades of Grey/Blue that the rest of the forum uses? Will make the logo integrate better I feel, and make it more legible without the white on white "O"s .

It could do with sharpening up - it looks a little blurred / soft.

Geez, and there was me thinking my bloody PC was playing up again!

IMHO it's utter shite - I'd have no idea what it said if I hadn't been coming here for ages.

I vote for a new competition with perhaps a few new ideas that are readable.

Sorry - not going through the whole competition lark again. As I said before, you'll never get universal (or even large majority) agreement on the logo.

It's going to be either a slight variation on the current one or back to the original one, possibly with the tagline removed.

merlin - as Paul said, it's a logo. It doesn't matter if you don't know what it says. It's a visual icon.

    Michael.

But aren't logos supposed to be identifiable?

To create something that not only is unreadable but also looks like an infant chimpanzee's experiment with a stencil set when under the influence of the coca leaf is quite an achievement I must say.

Not bad - I'm warming to it.

Would be nice to reduce the white space between the 'e' and 'r' in Zeorgain as I read it as 'Ze rogain'. IIRC Rogain (SP?) is some sort of lotion for promoting hair growth - snake oil for the balding - which sort of gives the wrong feel to the place.

'Ze rogain - your handle on the missing hair'?

Blind people often either touch type by learning on a brial keyboard then once they know where everything they can use a normal keyboard. I always touch type and I don't need my sight to use a keyboard. You can also input text via microphone with a voice reader. Output is done by a text reader and this where accessability and websites is very important. This why ALT tags must always be used. You can imagine a site which uses graphic rollover buttons and no ALT tags. If you're blind you have no chance of using it. The easy way round it is to produce the links in CSS then they can look good but its also plain text so its easy for text readers.
