long digital cable

    hi
    i connected my pc sound card to my cdplayer via 5m RCA digital cable. for long cables which is better :
    Optical cable or Coax ?

    Co-axial is often seen as preferable for digital applications, however for use with a PC optical is probably better as it prevents interference from within the PC (which is a very electrically noisy device) being transferred into the hifi system (the interference will probably degrade the sound).

    I'd say optical is better in this case :)
