i have a seat alhambra as well which had 3 gorgeous girls and 2 mates in it this weekend - one area it beats the gto hands down in (the other being fuel economy).
i used to own a hyundai sonata (don;t ask) which had a mitsubishi engine - this never missed a beat.

yes i am definitely enjoying my life at the moment however the current unrestrained (well barely restrained) debauchery must come to an end with the closing of 2007, it's been a year full of ups and downs however the ups have far outweighed the downs and i'll be starting the new year far, far happier than i did this one. but i'll be keeping the lost weekends at random houses with strange, yet exciting and interesting women to a strict minimum for the first half of the year.

Julian - It's standard kit in the later galants. Transplanting a lexus dash would be seriously difficult - it's almost impossible to transplant the EL dash into galants that don't have it!

"and the Transit to dispose of the bodies" is acceptable then? :)

    Talk about straining a gnat

I actually thought it was quite witty.

bugger - looks like it's the 'indiglo' replacement dials for me then.

took it for a service today, and to have an 'oil' leak and heavy steering investigated. looks like the sump needs resealing (aparently mitsubishi use a silicon sealant rather than a proper gasket) and a new steering pump, mitsubishi want £1000 for one of those but the specialist i took it to imports 2nd hand parts and recons them and said he may have one. service came to a reasonable £350 - which included new rear pads, all the spark plugs replacing - including the ones under the inlet manifold i was expecting more like £500+
oh and i know he did the ones under the intake manifold as on my way home while pushing the loud pedal there was a 'pop' and hte engine died. a phone call to the aa and about an hour of playing solitaire on my mobile later the aa bloke turns up and sticks his head under the bonet. the y pipe had popped off the inlet manifold so a quick fettle and i was on my way again but it was a nervous time...
ahh the joys of fast, old car ownership - it's never dull...
