I'm aware that this may be a daft question, but does anyone know where I can pick one up cheap, preferably under £100? No joy with ebay or google.

My DAC will upsample to 192kHz if I feed it AES....Could be interesting.

the only thing near that price I can think of would be 2nd hand, an old cyrus dacmaster transport, the top loading one

Tascam, cd pro, about £300 new, there are two models but the PRO outputs AES I use one here.

Cambridge Audio DiscMagic. Really superb, and cheap if you find one.

Just had a thought - would it be feasible to get my current transport (Quad 67CD) modded by having an AES output added?

Maybe I should ask, why do you need an AES output? Most DAC inputs will accept an SPDIF input on their AES connectors. Just connect the SPDIF signal to pin 2 and the ground to pin1 and also pin3.

My DAC won't upsample to 192kHz unless I use its AES input. Thanks for the tip on pin connections.
