Loth-X ION 2 floorstanding speakers

For sale here I have a lovely pair of Loth-X ION 2 speakers. Rarely seen for sale this is a very interesting design!

They are transmission line two way floorstanders. The use of a what is in effect a full range driver with no crossover to it allows the natural decay of notes and detail to get through which a conventional 2 way design will stifle because the crossover components mask and absorb these delicate details. The tweeter comes in later than is usual with a single capacitor making this a one component truly minimalist crossover (to protect it from lower frequencies.) These gems are super efficient, rated at 94dB and were designed for use with 8W 300B low-powered single-ended amps!

Condition of drivers is 10/10.

Cosmetic condition I would say is 8/10. The speakers are finished in a Rosewood look. There is one small ding to the front of one speaker and there are some very minor marks you have to look hard to find.
The grilles are excellent apart from a small hole in the top of one of them. The speakers have built-in spikes.

I believe these speakers retailed around the £999 mark and I can offer them at £425.

Collection from North London strongly advised - they are solid beasts and weigh nearly 19KG each!! However, it is possible that I can source some suitable packing if someone is very keen to ship them.
