Any good suggestions on a relatively cheap speaker cable ? I may need two runs of about 6m, so 1- 2 pounds per m is what I was thinking?

Meant to say a ribbon/flat type would be best but its not essential.

I'll assume you're in the UK and suggest B&Q, they sell 10mtr packs of 79 strand for £5.99.

In my local B&Q 10 meter rolls of 79 strand were £13.28. 20 meter rolls were £14.88.

They must be really thin strands as the cables were no thicker than the thin electrical flex I'm using at the moment.

I'm on the look-out for abandoned lawn mowers. The cables that come with these should be nicely burnt-in.

The stuff from Maplin has clear insulation so you can see the copper - not too attractive.

If you Google 79 strand you will see QED stuff in black or white at about the same price.

The petrol mowers only have throttle cables. How would they serve?

The last couple of times I got cable free by asking for it when purchasing new speakers. Is this an option?
