Ok, this superdac has some real fans and its cheap :)

Been thinking of digging out my soldering iron and having a go at some mods.

Though what I'd really like to do is get a real smooth mellow sound from the superdac.
Is this possible? and which mods would be the best to do without it becoming a lifetimes work?

BTW, I know almost zilch about modding, so I'm afraid such mods would have to one's that most folks could do...

    any advice appreciated

    cheers

    Sanj,
Save yourself some hassle, just buy an M/F 3.2 player, or 3.24 dac, and/or a suitable cable that produces what you want, to extract a more 'hifi' sound from the s/dac would be a waste of material.
Both M/F products, I've seen for between £380<>£520. Wm

You could try filling the entire casework with treacle. :guiness:

This smily is too fast. I have seen someone do this with treacle, and believe me, it's a MUCH slower process

    The sensible responce ?

There's any number of things that you can do to it ! Even the best gear is built to a price and therefore every component is a comprimise.

I've modded a number of dacs but don't know this one. If you want me to give you some advice why not email me.
