In May this year I ordered 2 items from a well known hi-fi mail order specialist. The order was placed over the net and paid for with Visa.

The first item arrived promptly but the 2nd didn't turn up. After a week or so I phoned and was told that they were awaiting a new shipment from their supplier. Not ideal but understandable.

My Visa card was charged for both items.

After a few more weeks and a few more calls I verbally cancelled the order for the missing items and backed this up with an email requesting a refund.

    A 2nd email followed a week later.

I spoke to the supplier at the weekend and urged my refund. He promised to email me back. He hasn't.

I've sent him another email and had no response to that either.

The sum involved is only £22 but i don't want him to get away with it.

What's my best course of action ? Contact my Visa supplier or go to the Small Claims Court ?

Contact your credit card company and do a chargeback.

I would suggest the simplest option would be to contact your c/c issuer. For that amount of £ it is quite possible they will just refund without investigation. For potential future reference, what was the company?

yeah I've got an order thats 12 days overdue on first class (ha) recorded.

They (Royal mail)dont class it as overdue till its 15 days. I'd say 48 hours was overdue.

CC company should be first port of call. Please don't name the company unless you also post your real name and address and can document everything. Otherwise, the forum runs the risk of being subject to legal action ;) (unlikely I know, but possible)

Just phoned the Credit Card company who've said they'll file a dispute claim against the other party.

If they can't deliver goods or service that's understandable, I have to make enough apologies for my own employer! The lack of acknowledgement and communication is unforgivable though.
