The "head in the sand" approach has to be ditched, Ian. I know that JW can't abide the least little bit of dissent of any kind whatsoever, but deleting legitimate enquiries from the Forum, not answering the phone, emails, etc., doesn't inspire confidence.

Sadly forums will be used to spread rumours like this. I agree with Bub that something should be said in an official capacity sooner rather than later - all of this speculation cannot be good for business, not answering customer correspondence can't be good either...

    Hi Bub and everyon else,

Clearly the only person who can sort out Mana and / or let everyone know what is happening is JW.

but if legitimate questions get removed, then that must surely be doing more harm than good. the main fact is that people have asked on the forum and had their posts removed and/or banned.
    it doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

for once I agree with Bub, re the the head in the sand approach.

    Hi Ian,
May I suggest that the whole point of this thread is that no-one, specifically 'Heuer' who, of all people, is entitled to some, has been given any facts. Ignoring customers is hardly good business practice.

I think that you will find that the general tenet of this thread has been sympathetic to any difficulties that Mana may have.
As I see it, most of whatever antagonism may be directed at Mana has mostly to do with the way in which those who support (sic) Mana appear to denigrate those who don't by suggesting that anyone who can't hear a major leap in performance in their hi-fi when employing Mana is:
    a: Deaf or
b: Too stupid to have the skills to set it up properly.
If Mana is experiencing difficulties, may I suggest that part of the blame must lie with the over-zealous and belittling attitudes of its current and (occasionally) previous customer base.

    The sad truth

    'Tis true.

Most of you here are also too stupid to even spell properly, let alone construct a witty, or even coherent, sentence. You are really dumb, in the American sense of the word. No offence.

This is a most ridiculous accusation. I have a robust personality, and don't suffer fools gladly, but to suggest that I have had a hand in Mana Audio's alleged decline is completely absurd. I recommend Mana stands. How can doing that damage the company who make them?

James I presume you're being ironic? Clearly my humour is far too dry for you, but frankly it's obvious I'm being sarcastic.

FFS I cant think of anyone who could possibly be more promoting of Mana. Sometimes you need to trust a little more.

    Ah - OK.

I think "Emeritus" and "Michaela B" are not being sarcastic, though.

Must make looking in the mirror something of a chore eh? (insert smilie to demonstrate tone of post for the dumb people)

Seriously, I did think the old Mana forum did the company no favours. I personally will always equate the company with the vulgarity on display to any unwitting observers there. And I'm sure the robust style of it's hardcore membership contributed to a lot of the animosity when they spread their wings to other sites on the internet.

No, but what they say make perfect sense to me. Your "promotion" of Mana will undoubtedly put people off Mana for good.

"Seriously, I did think the old Mana forum did the company no favours. "

The old Mana forum was set up by JW to have no censorship. This resulted in a very robust forum. I am sure it must have scared away many people as you needed to have a confident personality and strong reasons to post there.

JW asked me to moderate the new Mana forum, with him stepping back a bit. Whilst it is a much calmer and friendlier place now it could do with some additional interesting characters to post there.

Bub whilst not suffering fools gladly is certainly an interesting guy to have around.

It's self-evident Bub. Just read the above posts or the replies to any posts that dare to criticise Mana, I really can't be bothered to repeat what has already been said so many times in this and other forums.

Have to agree with Dev. Are you being deliberately obtuse Bub?

With all due respect I think the Mana forum is gasping its last gasp.

You are never going to get an interesting forum when JW bans anyone on a whim.

Take me as an example. I was kicked out within 12 hours of coming back in. My crime was to suggest that there was very little difference between a Mana Stealth and the ECS which replaced it.

Either you have debate or you do not.

    Regards

    Mick
