"The theory was that whilst the Bose 901 was a great midrange speaker it lacked any serious bottom and top end. So the Tannoy 12" Dual Concentric was accommodated within the cabinet construction to provide the low Sub-Bass frequencies from the 12" driver as well as the uppermost high frequencies from the high frequency Tannoy Dual Concentric integral supertweeter. This gives the overall design the benefit of one point source from the Tannoy drivers whilst retaining the great feature of the 901's surround sound direct reflecting capabilities."

    My thoughts are:-

:yikes: :inferno: :SWMBO: :banghead: :laser: :mana: and :yikes: and more :yikes:

P.S. Mark, we need a smilie for bollox.

    Sloooooowly;-)
Cocked up £60 worth of veneer last night arrrrgggggggg!
But cabs are sanded filled and ready for paint, got some new funky ports from http://www.lautsprechershop.de/english/index_hifi.htm
Sprayed the 2397's satin black-cool, freshened the cones with a wash of (1;10)diluted pva, sealing then lining cabs tomorrow and just about to varnish the re sanded-a bitch of a job-baffles.
After that its bolt up the drivers and glue the baffle in place then stand well back:D
