Just a quickie: does anyone know what 'MASTERDISK' stamped on the run off on albums signifies? Is it only on first pressings for example? I've noticed that vinyl with this stamp sounds very well produced.

    Hi TIU,

MASTERDISK are a huge USA based Vinyl, CD and DVD mastering company. They have mastered stuff for a number of diverse and/or popular acts. They can do small numbers for small companies or work for the big majors. They can produce very good sound quality.

Cheer SCIDB, that's good news and explains why these records have good production. I guessed it was something to do with the mastering but didn't think it was the name of a company.
