    For sale, my Meridian 568.2.

Owned by myself for a couple of years now. It's running the latest 2.5b firmware. It's in great cosmetic condition and operates flawlessly.
Comes boxed, with it's manual, power lead and remote. I've never used the remote as I have a Marantz SR2000, which I still operate my whole system with.

It's been used as both stereo DAC, AV processor and pre-amp. The sources I've used include an SB3, SB Touch, PS3 and BD player. It's been driving my Bel Canto Evo2 and Rotel power amps.

In use, well frankly it's been brilliant. I've owned a variety of DACs over the years, upto an including a Bel Canto DAC2. I've also listened to others from Chord, Audio Reseach, Audionote and Benchmark etc. In just stereo mode, IMO the 568.2 is as good as anything I've heard. Put a source like an SBT with a decent linear PSU on the front and it's a combo capable of keeping up with streamers upto and including a Linn DS Akurate.
In addition, I have dem'd it against a couple of Thule processors, (both of which it better) and more recently a Bel Canto PrePro, which it sounded incredibly similar to. Bearing in mind that the BC was £8k when new, and you'll get an idea of how good the 568.2 is.

Of course it's not just a stereo DAC, and also adds it's ability as an AV processor, at which it's awesome, again as good as any legacy AV processor I've across. It will happily deal with DD, DTS and also adds some other groovy surround modes like Trifield, which on some stuff sounds great, and on others…well lets just say that it's down to personal preference.

Functionality wise is has 3 coax digital inputs, 1 optical, a pair of analogue inputs. For outputs, is has true balanced for the front three channels and single ended for all channels.
My understanding is that it auto-upsamples all channels to 24/96 and will happily accept hi-res music from my SBT at 24/96 via SPDIF.

I'm selling as I'm in the process of purchasing a 568.2mm, which to my knowledge sounds the same as the 568.2, but also includes the capability to link to a Meridian HD621 for BD HD audio.

I can post within England, Scotland and Wales, please don't ask if you're outside of those countries.
If you wish to collect, I'm located in Sutton, south London. If you are collecting, I'm very happy to show you how to setup the unit using the Meridian supplied software. It's actually very easy, but is worth being shown the process just the once.

Looking for £730 plus £15 for postage.

    Any questions, please ask.

I am using the 568.2 mm and 598 DVD from a friend at the moment, hence the interest in your item.
Just not sure weather I can justify the cost, although its an amazing piece of kit.
