I've actually found myself at a loose end next saturday, and was wondering if anyone else would be interested in a sort of mini bake off. The Missus is on a hen night, so from early evening the house would be free to make as much noise as we wished. It's short notice I know but any takers?
Alternatively there's a cracking curry place just down the road, the chef won North-West curry chef of the year recently and got to the last six of the BBC good food competition. I'm in Heywood which is dead handy from the M62, and really handy for trains from Manchester Victoria.

If you mean the 3rd, my car is in for some work then, so I might not be able to make it (but if I've got it back in time it should be no problem).

How about a two-part bakeoff? Start off in the day at my place (on the A62 between oldham and huddersfield, near oldham), and then move over to lordsummit's in the evening?

Sounds like not a bad idea at all. In fact if you wanted to crash at our place I can cope with at least a couple of you

Just confirm that you mean the 3rd? I'm up for it... car should only be in for an hour or two in the morning, so I might have to run down to the garage (just down the road) for 5 mins to pick it up, but otherwise no probs at all.

Any other takers? I have room for up to about 6 or 7 people for a meet/listen/bakeoff.

Hey, you just said the 3rd. That could have been audiophile code for something, lol... <<trying to find an excuse>>

I might come, but it'll be on a wait and see basis.

That'd be no problem. Which station is near you Isaac. I can either do Rochdale or the metrolink out to Bury. There's a stop on that just 10 minutes away There are trains out your way as well aren't there. I know there's one that stops at Greenfield. Are there any nearer ones

Shaw is on the way for you, but if you go to shaw you might as well go to rochdale... Greenfield is over the other side of where I am from you, so not desperately convenient.
