Anyone know anything good, bad, or indifferent about them? Seen some in a second hand shop, just wondering if they're worth buying (can't find any info about them on the net)?

Sorry, I know nothing about them

Sorry, I know nothing about them but thought you might appreciate a reply. I'm not a big fan of Mission speakers in general.

can't remember the 727s personally though- sure you're not misreading them as 770s or 777s?

    cheers

thanks for the number. No, they're definately 727's, 150watts per speaker. These seem in fairly decent condition, a bit of cosmetic damage to the cabs (one has wood damage on the bottom corner) but thats all i could see. £75 the pair. Might buy them anyway, if they're shit i could ebay them.

Seems quite a lot unless they are in very good condition. They're certainly not one of the classics. Any idea how old they are, are the drivers inverted? Floorstanders or stand mounts? What does the driver look like is it paper or something else?

I havn't heard the 727's but recall the speaker as one that I considered buying many years ago - circa early/mid 80's.
IIRC it is a 2way bass reflex medium-sized stand mounter with inverted offset tweeter.

The reviews of the day (IIRC) were ok but not great....

I did have at one time a HifiChoice review but just had a look for it but must have thrown it out .....
