I think the AT-440mla is absolutely worth the price it sells for.
Anyway mines still has a bit of running in to do.

    AT-440mla

My AT-440mla has almost run in and the reslults I am getting out of this cartridge is amazing.

The detail out of this cartridge is extremely refined, speed and dynamics is just amazing. I played a Techno record and I just sat down on the sofa with my mouth down to the ground with amazement.

I totally agree with the man on youtube, the AT-440mla tacks like a train:)

I think I am Re-discovering all my vinyls with this cartridge.

This cartridge really gives the Denon DL160 a run for it's money. Infact I think it sounds better than the DL160 in my opinion.

It certainly gives a very clean, lively and up-front sound.
Not surprised you prefer it to the more measured Denon on Techno.
    Enjoy :)

The Denon did a fine job with the Techno and Trance music, but the AT-440mla does a much more super job though. I think the Denon is more suited to Jazz music etc. As it has a much more warmer sound over the 440mla.

It really looks like i'm going to stay with the 440mla for a good bit now.

Next I just want to do a couple more upgrades. I'm planning on sending my Quad 405 to Net Audio for a full MK3 upgrade, or what ever you call it.

    Cheers.
