You should listen to "Young Team". Haven't heard it for a while, but recollect it being very quiet bit/very loud bit and quite beautiful.

Come On Die Young is my fav out of the ones I have, it is also a absolutely stunning pressing on double vinyl if you can find one.

"kicking a dead pig" remix album is worth a go too, imo

Strange, I was listening to some of my MOgwai earlier today! I'd go with Young Team and Come on Die Young too. And as Rob says, the remix album is also well worth a listen.

I don't think you could go wrong with any of them really, so I'd just have a look in some of the sales about at the MOment (MVC) and see what's there for a bargain.

All of them, including the BBC sessions. In fact, get that one first because it's got stuff from various albums on it.

    But really get them all.

Should I give these guys another chance then? I've only got Rock Action and I think it's really weak. There are so many better things in this genre...
Try this for some superb quite/loud guitar action.

I second the recommendation for The Workhouse, I've got the Peacon, Paper Plane and Stoichkov singles on vinyl. Wonderful stuff.

Part Chimp's new LP I am come is good too. For some reason it makes me think of a Mogwai tribute to Mudhoney. Doesn't really sound like that but there you go. War Machine is a snarling beast of a track :)
