    Hi Guys,

A recent change in my employment status means that I can't afford to keep this, no matter how much I want to. I won't bore you with the blurb, I'll just put this link in, which goes to the Moon website. I will say that this amp desroyed everything else at the price point for me and I am only selling this because I really need the cash.

Reatil on this is currently £2700, I'll let is go for £2000. It's roughly 4 months old and comes with box, remote, instructions... everything basically.

    Advertised elsewhere.

    Cheers for looking

£1750 for a Sim Moon i-5 is a bargain, believe me. It thrashes all other integrateds I've heard upto £4K. I was on the verge of buying one myself before I decided to go DIY.

considering the age I think its a fair price - I did see one go for £1500 a while back, but that was 2 years old. If I was gambit I wouldnt drop any further, but if you want rid quickly I would post it on ebay with no reserve - then the fair market price should kick in.

That seems like a very sensible idea.

For something that would cost you £2700 anywhere else. I've even got permission from Redline to transfer the remaining warranty to the buyer.

lAmBoY - sorry, I don't agree about putting it on eBay with no reserve. For something of that value I'd never have a no reserve auction, esp. if I really needed the money. I've had one or two no reserve auctions (of cheap things) that have just flopped for no apparent reason when similar items I've sold have done very well. Whilst I didn't mind selling a USB Zip Drive for £3 (should have got at least £20), the risk of something worth a lot of money turkeying is simply unacceptable.

djdstone - "it's still £1750" compared to what? That's about as good a price as you're likely to get for an almost new Sim i-5 including warranty so, in the context of this item, no, it's not a lot of money at all.

I was suggesting that the unit will reach its fair market price - which undeniably is around 1750 squid.

If someone wins the auction at £100 - cant gambit just pull it at the last minute? I am somewhat of an ebay newbie, but whats the worst that could happen?

I don't doubt that the price is very, very good for the piece of kit that he's selling and that it sounds really good for the money. I was just making the point that it is still rather a lot in the greater scheme of things… now I will shut up!

Well, yes, of course you can make up a BS story after an auction has finished about why the item suddenly isn't for sale anymore but you will likely get angry negative feedback and eBay may suspend your account for a period for blatantly breaking their rules. I also don't think it's really in the spirit of eBay to pull out of auctions just because you think you're going to get a bad price. If everyone did that there wouldn't really be much point. Using a reserve price is the way to ensure a minimum price (or no sale) and that's what should be used if that's what you want.

Unfortunately there are far too many people willing to resort to underhand tactics on eBay (quite apart from all the scams), particularly bidding up the price of their own auctions by using bogus accounts or mates' accounts :( .

    Hi Guys,

I'm really after selling this (lost my job a few weeks ago and the bills are coming in) so I would be open to offers.

    Cheers

The worst part is that it's just giving me more and more reason to keep it - I keep listening to it and thinking "No, I can't sell you, my precious..."
