Well there you go. I'm only selling because I want blue VU meters! Can you believe it.

To be honest I have not heard better than this combo for that elusive mix of valve like qualities and rock solid SS bass and timing. All who have heard it seem to like the results, and both units seem to work well with a variety of kit. They even sound great when fed TV from a freeview box!

The P5 preamp is a two box, fully dual mono balanced design, with a heavily regulated dual mono power supply. It's remote controlled, with a theatre throughput and two sets of outputs. This unit is apparently 3 years from new, I am the second owner. The P5 is one of the most transparent preamps an the market, rated up there with the likes of the Levinson 32 and the top BAT and Lamm. It has valve like fluidity and knows how to carry a tune, which makes the sound appeal to many flat earthers. New, this unit sells for £4895. I'm selling mine for just £1995. Anyone ofter a worldclass preamp should hear this!

The W3 is the matching power amp, and offers 125wpc into 8 ohms, doubling into 4. Similar qualities to the pre really, transparent, open, with an addictive fluidity that you normally associate with valves or Class A designs. This unit is only 9 months from new. It is without doubt one of the finest poweramps I have owned (and I've had a few!) These retail for £3750. I will happily accept £2195.

Anyone after a world class pre/power combo at less than half price can purchase the pair for a further reduced price of £3800, a ridiculous bargain when you consider these are considered class leaders at £8700. And I'll throw in a balanced I/C at that price worth £150!

I have all boxes, instructions and the expensive & heavy remote control.

I know I will regret losing these, but I need to simplify things and go to an integrated in the short term. My loss will be another forum member's gain. And finally, yes I know it's a buyers' market. Which is why I am advertising it at this price. Any "Lowballers" will be treated with the distain they deserve. I'm lucky enough to not HAVE to sell this at the moment.

    Thanks
