Good points really. Great that our midfield has 2nd and 3rd place european footballers of the year! If we get it right, and with the good few other world class players in the team you got to fancy our chances.

 

Talking of footie, just looked at getting a season ticket again (at B'burn). My old seat is now £435. Getting a season ticket for Wigan Warriors; £146 this season and £124 next season (you dont pay the VAT for renewing) dont think I'll bother with Blackburn!

 

That's very true, but I'd rather see them play with a manager who's more tactically adept than Sven, it always seems like if plan A is working then we'll start on plan A.
I think another problem is he's got 3 central midfield players, Beckham, Lampard and Gerard, as thats where they all play for their clubs. I think he needs to perm 2 out of 3, Lampard and Gerard would be my choice. Beckham will have to play on the right, the obvious alternative went to Chelsea, and isn't playing regularly now. Joe Cole on the right if he's playing frequently. Alternatively play Gerard on the left, Beckham on the right, and King and Lampard in the middle. I wish we had a manager who was in it for more than the money though.

 

I'd like to see the following England team given a go at some point myself:

We have an absolute wealth of midfield talent...surely we could get 5 in midfield to work with this lto, King as the midfield anchorman and the others bringing attacking options aplenty? No place here for Ashley Cole admittedly but could always have him on the left and J. Cole instead of Beckham....

 

I'd play Carragher instead of Ferdinand, he's able to play on the left and is a very solid tackler. You could then have a back three of:
