    Hi,

here are some more SCIDB toe tappers and emotion stirrers.

Mavis Staples. Have a Little Faith

Here is another under rated soul singer. A member of the group "The Staple Singers", she hit the heights in the 60s & 70s as the lead singer of the group. She has cut a few solo albums over the years. This album came out last year is a a mix of gossip and soul. A fine listen.

    Betty Swann - Betty Swann

Another of the many top notch soul singers from the 60s. This is a collection of songs from the late 60s/early 70s. A collection of top notch southern soul. Not a well known collection of songs but one to look out for if you like good singing. From the same people that released the Candi Staton album.

    Willie Hightower - Willie Hightower

Here is an unknown to a lot of people. He cut a few tracks in the 60s. He is very obscure that I only heard of him in passing. If you like you soul, with earthy emotive power, check this out.

Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings - Dap Dippin' With Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings

This is an album that looks like it was recorded in the late 60s but is from a few years ago. It's new old style funk. This album is well worth a listen. Get up on a good foot! She has a new album out called "Naturally". This is one on my list to buy.

Mavis Staples rocks. I have a few of her 70s solo albums, and lots of Staple Singers. One of the sexiest voices in the history of the entire universe.
