Thanks Dean, I don't even own a TT (nothing that I'd call a TT anyway:D) but this has been my favourite thread recently.

EDit: isn't it time for some valve porn?.

Is it just me or are some of these tables begging for a little kid to climb up the side and topple the whole thing. I can picture my son climbing up the side of the Clearaudio reference and bringing the whole thing down.

    Scary.

I'll stick my ugly Nott with the two arms.

...is that a fridge on the right?

or a cryo air coupled vinyl stabilising device :p

Dean, that Pythagoras turntable would double up as a fire place if it went pear shaped. Needs a granite ashtray to finish it off.

my own baby. glad I kept it. Clearaudio Reference with triquartz TQi tonearm. The odd boomerang shape handles resonance.
I don't leave the arm up as the quartz rod can rotate under the cart/balance weight after a while.

    Turntable porn and more!

    I love this stuff!

I'm the guy that founded Clearcover - I tried very hard, and very nearly successfully, to make a useful business out of handmade turntable covers until NatWest (god damn, sorry, bless them) pulled the plug on me - I have a mega library of all and sundry and odd decks and this is the oddest - platter drive courtesy of water power - called the Aqua (original!) Does anyone out there know how this thing actually works - I guess it's the old water mill principle? But what happens when there's a hosepipe ban and when the dishwasher kicks in to drop the pressure? Chris.

    Hi,

    Nice!

Not many about. Where did you get it from? There can't be many dealers in the UK.
