I believe it was the Portishead Live in NYC album.

My vinyl is mostly old skool hip-hop but it only sounds right on my other system:

People with a lot more money than taste, who don't mind their deck resembling an oil rig or a set of chrome plated paint tins, I would imagine, though the little Viger is quite pretty and the Reson is aesthetically very pleasing - the sort of deck I could imagine Kraftwerk DJing with :)

There are several of you around who know lots about vinyl players. I have 2 questions?

    preamble - I have owned Garrrard 301 x 2 , 401, Linn LP12 x 3 , and Axis transcriptors, Ariston, SP10 x 2 rega's x 2 Arms by Rega,SmE origin Live, Misson, Linn,Michell, AT etc so have some pratical experience.

Q1 There are some exotic decks here on this thread i like the crome look - but how far away from the best of these would you get if you butchered a rega 3 independantly mounted the arm, the motor and a bearing onto a solid wall by three different brackets? Because you could do this for £400.

Q2 why hasnt any one designed and marketed a only wall mounted vinyl player?

Because few people buy turntables and fewer buy turntables they are going to mount on a wall and fewer are able to mount three components accurately on said wall?

This was what I wanted but went for the SP10MKII because I couldn't find one for less than a couple of grand.

Vulgarity permeates through high end audio as it does through society like a vile cancer attacking and destroying the very values that gave these items such emotive qualities.

aestheitically, a garrard 501 with an SME V or the Brinkman Balance are the most attractive decks shown; to my taste, of course.
