I'm listening to James Brown whilst doing the ironing. What do you listen to to make chores fun?

........... well, as you asked. It would depend on what exactly is involved. "Ironing".... just before a night out? Then something for the night ahead (depending again on what that night out is).

As with MOst other times, depends o the MOod!

Mr Marley is always a good un though

I don't know how you can do something as mundane as ironing whilst listening to James Brown - the urge to boogie would be too great for me. Cue: the semi-clothed Tom Cruise dancing around the house scene from Risky Business :D

I don't have an iron. Is it a worthwhile upgrade?

Absolutely. How else do you get the creases out of CDs?

Michael - it's about the only thing that can make ironing interesting. Just don't do it when anyone else can see.

Joel's domestic tip 'o the day

So, all your shirts are polyester WM :p Those should go well with sludge brown kipper ties for that 70s Man at C&A effect, though.
A good shirt should never see the inside of a tumbledryer, but should be hung out to dry after washing - this also makes ironing a lot easier (if you have to tumbledry, do remember to take the cufflinks off and the collar bones out, first :D ). The shirt should also be aired after ironing. A heavy iron will help get the job done quicker.
Ironing in the morning is generally the only time of the day I watch TV, so no music for me.

Wouldn't iron without music me, but it can't be anything too heavy. I couldn't bring myself to iron to say Rage Against the Machine or Nirvanna, it would rather go against the spirit of the music now wouldn't it?

I think I had the first Lord of the Rings soundtrack CDs on last time I ironed...

Just finished ironing a shirt whilst listening to The Kings of Leon. I find Joes Head particularly therapeutic
