musical fidelity 750k power amps, any views?

    does anyone have any experience with these, or the current A1 fbp pre-amp?

    are they any good?

    just generalities

    I've been insided maybe 30-40 bits of mf kit ....everyone has been built down to the lowest cost component that they can get away with ....not necessarily a bad thing.

    the problem is that they can sound so much better with half decent components ....that would have added maybe £5 on the overal cost per unit ...

    I've heard really good to really horrid ......

    what puts me off is the six monthly proclaiment that this or that new unit is the next best thing to sliced bread ...replacing something that was equally described ...

    Thats of course doesn't mean to say I've not owned my fair share of good sounding mf kit ...

    as always you need to see if it floats your boat ..rather than what others think !

    fair comment zanash....i just been out of the loop for a while and this seemed like a new idea, so thought i'd see if there was an 'inside line' on it

    excellent amp but very expensive. works well as a stand-alone amp, don't even think about using it in supercharger mode because it is then the worst of both worlds.

    no logical reason to buy it unless you can prove you need that amount of power.
