The horrid brutish styling puts me off MF......and those f**king illuminated feet :chunder:

I walk straight past the stuff at dealers and shows, which is a shame as some of the older stuff was quite good. The Paravacini years were the best for me - A1, P140, B200, MA50 etc in the waffle top cases.

If they adressed the styling issues and rationalised the range I'm sure more people would take them seriousely.

now that is sad, dev, you mean that you will never buy another car? i think that new products are good to see if not to buy but if a manufacturer keeps on motivating products that to me shows that interest on their behalf to gain more customers onto their products, since they began, i almost used all their products, as well as others, i can only say that they give people excellent value sound for pound,..regards nando.

Yes, if the manufacturer in question was to treat existing customers with the same indifference.

Actually this is the reason I'd not buy certain makes.

Chill out man. I aint gonna bring the UK hi fi industry to its knees now am I!!? :)

Fair enough, it's a well made piece of kit, so not junk in those terms.

IMO the general philosophy behind using something like the X10-V3 sucks. It is an additive piece of kit that adds nothing good to my ears. I cannot see the point, it's the antithesis of what I'm looking for in good hifi. Decent enough build - sounds crap.

I love my MF Digilog, although it is pretty heavily modified. It has a very exciting, dynamic sound. No idea what most modern MF stuff sounds like, but i've had a couple of the headphone amps, and they were pretty poor.

My reason for starting this thread was not to criticise MF per se , it was just that every time I listened to it I found that it does not make me want to engage with the music , just wishes to impress me with its raw power , it may be that I just prefer a warmer more transparent system.

    regards

hi alby, why don't you try valve amps ? there is quite a few out there that sound very good, like zanash does mods for m.f. so do i , but is always up to the individual to choose what is the best sound for them, all we can do is help, regards nando.
