I got Ourlass her first Digital Camera this Christmas & I thought it would be nice to have a bash at posting some of the results I have had with the camera for others to have a look @. No sniggering at the back, please. These are my first attempts with the camera.
They are mainly pictures of my HIFI & my New Sony 23" TFT Monitor.
Let me know what you think.

Camera Is a Nikon 4800 Coolpix.

The pictures are good quality, but one criticism: for posting onto the web they are physically too big!

Anyone with a screen resolution of 1024x768 or less will not be able to see the whole picture in one go. Even something like Microsoft Paint can be used to resize the images (Ctrl+W) so that they are fairly compact. Reducing yours to 50% of original width and height would still have kept them very impressive but would have made them a lot more viewable and reduced the file size to about a quarter of the original.
    Just an idea...!

Investing £50 in Photoshop Elements will be a very good idea. Or you could try downloading the Gimp which is a nice open source photo editing package.

The camera looks very good quality though, it seems to have very impressive low light capabilities. Good macro shot of the Sony too.

I love the PC monitor, ohhh so sexy! I want one.
Interesting the way you have your hifi setup, does having the centre speaker "off centre" cause any problems?
And why does everyone had Red carpet in their living rooms?????

If I had a 23 inch one I to would post a photo on the net!

I see that you have had a visit from Kim & Aggie fluffing away and do I detect a visit from Ann the House Doctor?

Just another observation, my mate used to be a joiner and taught me a few strange things. I am guessing you live in a modern house because of that low profile taurous skerton board?

Also the fact the walls look so smooth give it away. It also looks imacurate, my bedroom is a top. Even my HIFI shelf looks like a bomb has gone off,

Actually you have given me an idea, I may tidy my room a bit.

No the Centre Speaker sounds fine, I cannot detect any problems.

    Cheers

    It's a Sony SDMP 234.
    I got it in November.

It sure is one hell of a monitor. Highly reccommendable.

Those two came for dinner some time ago, and have been with us ever since.

Yes I do live in a 'New' house. Built 2000.

i had my centre speaker like this. it really really really really bugged me and it didn't sound right to my ears.

i do like the snaps too but my Sony monitor can't cope with more than 1024x768 so getting the problems described above :(
