Once you tube, you never go back...

    That's what she said.

    Enjoy.

    Hi Guys,
    Just a quick update.
The Icon arrived on Thurs and I must admit i'm absolutly blown away by the lovely noises it's making.
It really is everything I was hoping for and more!
Beautiful smooth treble, the mids are to die for and the bass is nicely controlled.
I spent 6 hours re-discovering what it was like to sit back and enjoy the music rather than listening to spitty highs and boomy bass.
I think it's an under statement to say i'm in love with the valve sound.
Two things really surprised me though.
How good the Squeezebox is as a source and how the AE's can sound so diffrent.
I've been from Eva Cassidy to Erasure and Elbow to ZZ Top and it all sounds amazing.
The build quality is also impressive but one thing really lets the whole show down.
The bloody blue led on the front.
It's like having a laser shining in your eyes
    Easy fix though.
So, to sum up, It's the best £500 i've ever spent.
Now, what can I buy next.....
I'll try and get some pictures up and give a bit better write up when I get time.

    Thanks for all your help,

    Martin.

I would be interested to know how you're getting on with the Icon a year later. Did you ever upgrade the valves?

    thanks
