Just a quick update. They have found cancer on his liver but they seem to think its very trivial and they are not even sure if its cancer or just liver damage. He is having his most of his bowels removed next week as they have two tumours. He he has some tests tomorrow to make sure he is fit the operation.

I suppose all these cans and operations will be worth it if it gives him another 3-5 years. The only sad thing is he will be in over christmas and he loves christmas dinner, for this reason he has had a christmas dinner today.

I am quite impressed with how fast the NHS has dealt with it, I would have thought as he was nearly 80 they would have tried to fob him off but they have treated him with a lot of respect.

My GP on the other hand should have spotted it four years ago but thats another story.

He's had the operation now, the docots have said so far everything is good, he was apparantly smiling and joking before. He is in recovery at the moment but they have said its likely he will need to go the high dependcy unit as thats standard practise after that operation. He will be in hospital for another two weeks providing everything goes ok.
