Yep but its a bit pitty to publish his number and put "AT ANY TIME" in under line. He's quite clearly bitter about it, but its is own fualt.

What do you expect. The very fact that any of them stand for Parliament reveals them to be control freak megalomaniacs who can't wait to start controlling the rest of us. Its what school governors and local concillors progress to after they've really got the bit between their teeth. Anyone who gets involved in politics is a suspect personality imho.

Well it sums up all MPs then, I am not saying I am surpised by it, I am just surprised he is willing to let his voters know what twit he is.

I do understand why people want to be MPs, they want to change things for the better, and I do believe this, sadly somthing in the process involves elitism, old boys networks and general sleaze.

:D it seems such a shame that in another couple of years you'll lose that innocence and become bitter and twisted like the rest of us

Guy Fawkes had the right idea, and they label it terrorism, do the country a favour imo.
    And they wonder why?

That's almost conspiring/incitement to hate messages...

    got what he deserved.

I wonder what they do after, if they aren't liked enough to be found a safe seat? go to B/Q to work as a hello person? :D bit of a come down.....

I am glad some people can read :)

Mick I was pointing out how wrong it was for an ex MP who once had a very senior position in the labour government to publish the new Lib Dem MPs mobile phone number.

What he has done is an insult for anybody who voted for him.

I think before telling people they shouldn't be at university you should actually read the post properly first. All the other posters on this thread got my point.

As far as I am concerned I plan to pay income tax, I will pay my loan back, I worked hard to pass exams to gain entry into university so I have as much right as anybody else. I have passed all modules so far (touch wood) and I have gained an awful lot by going to university.

I am sure the income tax I will pay when I get a job which will be soon will more than cover any costs of me going to university to the tax payer.

Mick, as Julian has already mentioned, you've got the wrong end of the stick and I think you're being rather harsh on AT. Please edit/delete your post.

    Amazing Trade

Anyone who publishes anyone elses address or phone number on the internet is either at worse vindictive or at best very foolish. In your case it was inocent but never the less plain bloody foolish.

This forum is read by hundreds of lurkers and it only needs one nutter to keep ringing up with daft calls.

I suppose the new MP has had to change his number thanks to actions similar to yours.

    Regards

    Mick

The website I was already there, I didn't make the website and if people want to make prank calls then there is a telephone directory full of numbers.

Mick, in this case, IMO you are in the wrong, why not just do the decent thing? AT was merely pointing out the losing MP's behaviour. So now a few members here know the new MP's number, so what? These people are public servants and mobiles can be switched off. It's not that big a deal. There is no reason to keep badgering AT.

The new MP has what appears to be his home phone number on the web. FWIW. I presume once he gets a constituency office sorted out things will update. I'm not convinced AT has got the right end of the stick, the political slogans on his ex-MP's web site are more spiteful than providing a contact no. for the new MP...

Paul, the number starts with 07, so it's almost certainly a mobile. In any case Mick's post has been edited, so let's just let it go.

My point was that MPs are contactable and supposed to be contactable. It's not a big deal, or rather it's part of the deal. The home number is more intrusive than a disposable mobile number.

My point wasn't the phone number so much, the spite was the other graphics relating to the lib dems and the fact AT ANY TIME was in bold and underlined. You think even if he is spiteful (he probably has a right to be but then he dosn't have the right to expect automatic votes) but when you have been such an important figure in the local area for 18 years you should be professional and least not make that spite public, otherwise people will not vote for him in 2009, although I would imagine he would probably stand down anyway.
