Finally got all my non-classical CDs into my Music Collector Pro database and so of course I just had to export it to HTML and stick it up for you perusal :)

    http://www.zerogain.com/music/index.html

It's all my non-classical stuff and I haven't put up the film soundtracks and a couple of dance/chillout compilations yet.

The "Genre" column needs tidying up at some point. 95% of it is straight from CDDB and it can be a bit cr@p at getting the genre right. I've edited a couple but there are probably still many howlers there.

I've heard parts of the tatu album and it's not at all bad. One of them has a great voice - sounds just like Kirsty MacColl.

I haven't had the guts to buy it yet.

I wrinkle my nose in the general direction of Alanis Morisette & Nelly Furtado, however.

As James says, it's not that bad actually. Certainly better than most of the manufactured pop that gets churned out these days. It's got quite an 80s sort of feel to it.

Without clever "lesbian" marketing though it would probably have gone nowhere :D

MO! - is Tricky's "Blowback" really any good? I'd heard it was cr@p. IMO he totally lost the plot with "Pre Millenium Tension" and hasn't really done anything useful since.

Who doesn't own Jagged Little Pill?? I haven't listened to it in about 5 years though... As for Nelly Furtado, well, she's cute and she's Portuguese (from the Azores) and my wife likes the music :)

I don't own Jagged Little Pill! Nor any other of her work. This is my proudest achievement.

If I wanted to be screeched at and berated for no reason by some random woman, I'd, er, well, I'm not sure what I'd do actually...

I'll swap you. I went out with a loopy but, unfortunately in some ways for me, beautiful lawyer three years ago. She redefined misery.

Never get into an argument with a lawyer.

To each his own of course, in music, women...and in choice of hifi supports :D (sorry, couldn't resist :shame: )

TBH, a lot of the indie/alternative/brit-pop stuff I got in the mid 90s I don't really listen to any more. I may come back to it one day though.

Alanis Morisette needs to cheer up a bit and stop complaining about men.maybee she should sing about her big depressed horse face instead.every song is the same, talk about flogging a dead horse....

Michael. It's quite different to his other albums, but still Tricky. A lot of the tracks have guest apearences with Cyndi Lauper, Flea and Anthony Keidis aMOngst others .

One of my fav's is "Over me" with Hawkman and Ambersunshower on it. Both make a few appearences and Hawkman's dirty ragga vocals are spot on and with Ambersunshower's sweet girly voice the two (anti) complement (  ??? ) each other well.

The same with "Your name", which is just downright surreal! It's a lullaby type cute and sugary sweet tune..... but erm hearing Tricky's rough sMOked out voice singing along with Amber's is quite eery.

Oh, and there's a ragga/dub version of Nirvana's "Something in the way" with Hawkman on vocals worth a listen.

Not a guaranteed fav' just because you've previously liked his stuff. It's quite diverse with some tracks being as much rock as anything else.

    I don't own Alienass's ( :D ) "jagged little pill" btw! You're on your own there ;)

Is Alanis the one who kept wittering on about how ironic everything was? I'm not up to date with this stuff.

Correct. Before "Jagged Little Pill" she also had a couple of albums that she and her record company are trying to make believe never existed :) They were two typical teen pop rubbish albums...doesn't gel quite so well with her new "girrrrlll rocker" image :D
