I will link to it tomorrow when its all updated, my current one is emberassing me too much to link it, I have no creativity any more.

It took me 3 solid days to produce my leaflet and I am still making changes to it, it is a huge amount of work because it has to be just right.

My current leaflet is half A4 size and I think its too big so I am thinking of designing a smaller cheaper one. I will post my leaflets and press advertising material tomorrow too.

I was lazy and just google imaged it. I thought it was nice in b/w and being 'oversized'. Plus it's a REAL telephone!

I’ll have to change it now I know you have it ;)

    Half A4 is A5, half A5 is A6 etc.
Some free advice. Have the leaflet an appropiate size to the amount of info you want to put on it, many people cram in too much info so it looks fussy, crowded and no one bothers to read it. If you're after cheaper leaflets then just order more of them, the per leaflet price drops dramatically with quantity, that's if you're having a local printing company do them. If you're printing them out yourself then :p

I think that is my problem, my leaflet is very fussy, I was trying to sell wireless networking to people that don't know much about it.

The problem is I can't keep changing it both my parents think I haven't given it long enough, but I have got 1500 leaflets out now and from that I have only one possible job worh about £25 max.

And they are quite right. Starting up in business needs perseverance, patience and the ability to take the hard knocks.

Indeed. It took four months of solid work in preparation before we even sent our web site live, let alone sold anything.

Just a quick word of advice. Show it to non techy friends and family and ask them what they think (particularly those older than yourself). Do they understand what your offering is? If not, then you will need to rewrite it so that they do.

Non techy oldsters are likely a large part of your market whether individuals or business owners and as a techy you need to be able to communicate effectively with them. Your leaflet is potentially your first communication. Non technical types prefer dealing with people they can speak English to.

PS. I'm not saying it is too technical, but having a technical background myself, am probably not best placed to judge. Whenever I write anything dealing with a technical issue that I want to be universally understood, I run it past Auntie, who is smart but not technically minded. If she understands it I know its ok.

It took me two months just to get these far. Another person has said the same about the technical thing. It is just hard to be none technical and say on the right side of advertising laws.

This is the add I have placed in my local directory and its a lot more simple, I prefer it many ways so I might adapt this to my leaflets

Well those are much better than the leaflet I'd say. Think about what the purpose of promotional material is.

It isn't so that all of their questions are answered on the sheet of paper in order that they can decide whether you can sort out their specific problem.

It's to persuade them that you most probably can help them and to get them in touch with you. Once you are speaking to them you are half way there and its a lot more likely you will get a sell.

Showed it to a couple of people in the office and the PC maintenance looks OK. In the wireless install you've repeated the same info several times about security and taking the stress out of setting up.

I have applied my amazing Photopaint skills below with a slightly revised layout.

Definately!! Even if you can't spell yourself, there's no excuse for not using a spellchecker.

on your black and white advert, u've misspelt competItive.
there's also inconsistent capital letters at the start of words in the heading.

other than that, i like it. simple, clear, concise.

yellow one, right hand side, commences with one "m"
"started running slow" should be "started running slowly"

AT, if you want any error checking on your ads b4 u go to the printers, dont hesitate to ask.

You might want to add a comma after "Whatever Your Computer Needs" on both of them too

Also it should be "All Of Our Installations are Secure", "All of our Networks are secure" and "share resources from all of your computers"

Its already been checked by loads of other people, they just seem to be so easy to miss. Maybe its a sign the add is too wordy. As for the spilling error on the other one, damn it:( Its too late to alter it now as its already gone to print.

Edit the printers have spotted the mistake and have edited it:) That scared me because it was such an ovbious mistake.
