It sounds beautiful... but I now need some new speakers that are a bit more efficient to eke out the deeper bass.

I knew I'd want some ne wones anyway though so it's ok.. ;)

I've considered them.... However, looking at the on-paper specs I suspect that they would actually be harder for the Copland to drive - not easier. Unfortunately with them being 2/h I wouldn't be able to demo either :(

So far I have had recommendations for Sonus Faber (too expensive) and Spendor (could probably just stretch to the S5e) I will also try to have a listen to the new KEF iQ9. I need to save up money first though. Any recmmendations upto about a grand? Looking at floorstanders to go in a nice Victorian living room.

Thanks for the recomendation, unfortunately way over budget :(

Probably a very safe bet if I could find a second hand pair though...

I think I'll give the Living Voice a whirl when I have the cash. In the unlikely event I don't like them I don't envisage selling them on to be a problem :)

    Living Voices are great Mike.

As a previous owner, I'd take these words to heart -

They DO need space around them and a nice big uncluttered room to sound their best.

You can't shove them next to walls or corners, or sit 4 feet away from them and expect them to sound at their best.
