Sorry mate - gutted to miss out. It came down to a straight choice between visiting you in Cheltenham and testing cables, or lying on a beach in Thailand surrounded by rain forest.

It was a tough choice Tone;)

Even better if Virginie Ledoyen would be there with you. Here's a shot from "The Beach" :)

Paul, you are most welcome, and please feel free to bring the ting track & Kans, but timpy has asked my to point out, that a ear defender warning needs to be posted on the doors when you plug them in!!!, you can ca conduct the tests any way you see/feel fit.
I will point out it's a fact finding day plus some ale and fun. T.

    I'm up for it.
I doubt if my speakers will be finished then, but I'll try.

    I'll bring my bass processor:

    http://www.peavey.com/news/ledzeppelin.cfm

with suitable homebrew XLR to phono patch leads...and some live CDs for Tony+Tim

If you really want me to bring the Kans I'm probably going to have to bring an amp, since I doubt you have anything up to the job.... Unless you can scrounge up a NAC552/NAP500 from your strangely silent brother?

And then there's source, could be a problem too!

Paul, Dave who posts on the naim forum (he's happy with his kit, hasn't heard anything to make him change, so I don't know, but he has been in the states a lot so I guess like all of us, from time to time doesn't bother) The Bro with big naim gear, thats Martin the boat builder is, but he doesn't post on any forum, I can but ask, but to put Kans on is surely a total waste? isn't it, or are you saying that linn kans only run on overpriced/underpreforming Juice? (sorry couldn't resist) :)

I ran Kans for a few years back in the early 80s. I bought a mid 80s pair on nostalgic impulse a couple of years ago (I think they're ex TonyL!) and haven't really done anything with them....

So if you have a sensible shaped room with a good wall to put them against it could be fun to run them for a while. But given they're a bit like LS3/5As on speed their strong points may not shine through on a damp Saturday morning(after).

    I'll be there.......... :D

Apologies for those who had got their hopes up for the 24th by the way, it's at least partly my fault the date moved to the 31st, that and the fact that, despite having offices only about 30 feet away, WM and I don't get the opportunity to communicate much :)

    Cheers
