    NAD M55 Universal DVD player

The M55 universal DVD player is capable of playing most of the popular entertainment oriented optical disc formats. Music lovers will enjoy the DVD-Audio, SACD, MP3 and WMA playback capabilities and also receive a substantial sonic upgrade when they play their favorite CDs due to the advanced design of the M55.

The progressive scan DVD playback supports HDMI connectivity with HDCP encryption and offers unmatched video quality due to the Faroudja DCDi chipset which works to upconvert standard (480 lines) DVD video to high definition formats of 720p or 1080i.

The M55 supports the all popular DVD features with intuitive operation. However hidden beneath the on screen menus and under the protective armor of the machined aluminum housing the M55 employs what many consider as the finest audio/video processing units ever made. Utilizing the Analog Devices 12-bit, 216 MHz video DACs for Component output and the Cirrus Logic 10-bit, 27 MHz video DACs for Composite and S-Video output, the M55 is capable of simultaneously feeding a second zone video display.

Additionally, a rear panel IR input, 12-volt trigger and RS-232 port allow for easy integration of advanced control systems commonly used in today\'s complex custom theaters. The Masters Series M55 is simply the finest multi-format DVD component ever built.
